What does it mean to be Au-Pair Australia?

Au-Pair Australia Program: is a young girl between 18 and 30 years of age with an interest in improving language skills and knowledge of the country, travels to another country to live for a time with a family who, in exchange for the help provided in housework and care of children, will provide accommodation, food and a small remuneration in the form of "pocket money".

Requirements to participate with the Au-Pair Australia Program

• Aged 18 to 30 years
• Have a basic knowledge of the language of the country of destination
• Experience and responsibility in dealing with children
• Good health and morality
• No smoking or at least while they live with the family.

Obligations of the Au-Pair

• Working 5 hours a day, 5 days a week
• Working 7-8 hours per day 5 days per week in the program
• Assist in the care of children
• Babysitting one or two nights a week if parents want to leave
• Perform simple household
• Be clean and responsible for personal expenses such as phone, Classes, insurance and transportation
• Give 2 weeks notice in advance if you leave before the contracted time.

Obligations of the family

• Treating the Au-Pair as a family member in the family
• To host the Au-Pair in a single room and give it full support
• Pay the weekly pay of pocket money
• Allowing the Au-Pair 2 days off per week
• Allow the Au-Pair to attend classes and other cultural activities
• Give 2 weeks notice in advance in case of termination of contract

Our commitment Au-Pair Australia

• Select both the Au-Pair girls and the families carefully
• Undergo an interview with the Au-Pair and the family
• Tracking the relationship between the two sides during the duration of the contract
• Provide support and guidance to the Au-Pair
• Serving as a liaison between Au-Pair and family and help if any disagreements

It is important to emphasize that the selection (of the Au-Pair and the family) is not imposed. It is the mutual agreement of both parties on that situation to an Au-Pair in a given family.

To deepen learning English and the culture, we put at the disposal of the au pair some courses. Combining knowledge of english grammar with a family living together enables our Au Pairs become real-english speakers.
